Are you able to actually listen to what your body needs?

 

Are carbs really so bad? Why should I/or not eliminate carbs?

 

 

✨ Here’s a big revelation, we’ve all gotten so distracted by all the conflicting noise out there and have completely forgotten what it’s like to hear our own bodies talk to us. Do you even know what I am talking about? Our bodies crave foods that we need? Sure we crave foods we should not have when our diets are imbalanced but when our diets are balanced and we are in need of a little extra something our bodies will actually crave it.

 

 

✨ For example, when you have been more active, your body needs more carbs and if you are depleted in this area, your body will crave them. I’m not saying eat cookies and cake but I am saying eat healthy complex carbohydrates that will satisfy your body‘s needs. Additionally, when you are deficient in certain nutrients and vitamins, your body can crave foods that are enriched with those nutrients. The body is actually quite amazing in how it works if we allow it to do its thing.

 

 

✨ Your dietary needs will vary and not be exactly the same day to day especially if your caloric expenditures change a lot day to day.

For women, your cycle will also impact your dietary needs and caloric intake. Let me remind both men and women alike, these variances will not affect your weight if the right foods are added to take care of your increased needs.

 

 

✨ I cannot emphasize enough, how important your diet/nutrition is in how you feel and with your weight (whether it be weight maintenance or weight loss). Also, what works for the next person may not work for you because our bodies are all unique with unique circumstances that we have to adjust to.
