Fitness: Go Hard, Be Moderate or Both? Why?

physical health well being Jan 05, 2022

There is a time for everything and we have our days, good and bad so the answer is, both.

✨ Some days our bodies can and should be pushed hard and we can get the most out of our workouts! On other days, we have to listen to our bodies and not push, but simply get through the workout without pain or injury.

✨  I have worked with many clients over 20 years that have come to me injured from workouts or don’t know how to push hard enough and it can be a fine line for them to learn how to recognize what the body can take.

✨ You have to be careful if you’re one that likes to push, to not go too hard always and on the other hand, if you like to take it easy, you have to be able to push yourself and not take it too easy on yourself too often. I often see my Type A personalities want to go even harder when I push plenty hard and all I’m doing is safeguarding them against injury!

✨ My advice – push yourself hard and know when your body is fighting you and ease up!

✨ I know a thing or two as I had to learn the hard way… I earned myself a few surgeries in my 20s and 30s from pushing too hard all the time.
