How to Choose the Right Protein Bar
Jan 05, 2022On the go but really hungry? Find yourself with this dilemma? Ever wonder if a protein bar, which protein bar is the right pick?
✨ Protein bars can be a quick and easy solution when on the go but there are a lot of unhealthy options out there. Let me help clarify what to look for. I look for the basic breakdown: calories, protein, carbohydrates, and fat. When looking at these numbers, you want to keep in mind is this protein bar serving as a snack or as a meal replacement?Obviously, if it is a meal replacement it can be much higher in nutrients.
✨ Additionally, it is important to look at the label and the ingredients. I definitely do not recommend those full of processed additives and sugar. For those with hormone issues, I don’t recommend using ones with soy protein and for those that are vegan, plant-based protein bars will only do.
✨ When it comes to eating all things, it always comes down to taste and texture if you’re going to like it. Here are a couple of suggestions with varying textures to try: One, Quest, Think Keto protein bar, and Paleo Protein Bar. These are not the only ones I would approve but it gives you a start.
✨ One more tip, the fewer the ingredients the better and there should not be ingredients you cannot pronounce, that probably indicates processed ingredients you do not want.
